1958 Porsche Series A, Reutter Coupe,
VIN: 105238

This wonderful coupe is the product of a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration performed by Jim Newton of Auto Associates in Canton, CT
during 1995 at a cost of more than $100,000.

Equally at home on the street or track it is prepared for the track and carries a PCA GT-6 logbook as well as several for various vintage racing venues.

It has light weight Speedster seats, an unobtrusive, bolt in roll-cage,
twin 5 point harness and Lexan side and rear lights. The car also carries series B brakes (drum) and has numerous suspension upgrades.

It is currently equipped with what is referred to as a ¾ race 1600cc race engine with only 10 hours of use and excellent compression and leak-down results. It was built by Ecurie Engineering of Mequon WI. and carries Zenith carb’s modified by Victor Skirmant. The result is a car that is light, nimble and quick.

The transmission is a recently freshened 901 4 speed with a marvelous short shift kit. The engine’s deep sump is protected by a skid plate and is complemented by an external front fender mounted, coil cooler. There is also a Fuel Safe fuel cell with an electric fuel pump that uses a Dacor filter.

A number of important spares come with the car, including the original engine lid; front an rear bumpers, radio, front seats, a 2nd set of spare 5” wheels and the most important, a fresh 1600cc street engine.

Ready to go for either Cub or vintage racing, (or street) this well prepared and sorted coupe is offered with all equipment and spares at $65,000 OBRO.
