1987 Porsche 5 Speed 911 Targa, This pretty Targa has only 71,000 miles and is done in brilliant Guards Red over black. With only 3 owners from new, this car was located by European Locators in April of 2006 as a 40 th birthday present for the seller’s husband. It is a full time southern car, having lived in the Atlanta area before going to Ocala Florida where it now resides. It is being sold because the family doesn’t drive it but occasionally, and they are now busy building a summer home on a lake front in Alabama and need the funds. The pre-purchase inspection done in April of ’06 and less than 3,000 miles ago, showed excellent compression and leak-down results and all of the items noted needing correction were repaired or replaced before it was delivered to the current owner. These included a four wheel alignment, installation of 2 new front tires, retrofit of the AC system to R-134A, all new axle boots and repacking of the CV joints and new valve cover gaskets. The previous owner had the Targa top recovered, installed a Nardi steering wheel along with a short shift kit. It has the original tool kit and air pump and a Colgan bra that is still in its original box. There are absolutely no wear marks on the interior and the exterior finish is perfect with no dings, dents or scratches. A new clutch was installed in 1999 after it was purchased from the original owner in 1997. The maintenance log goes back to 1996 and the Factory maintenance booklet is dealer stamped up to that point. It has been very well maintained. Having just been dealer serviced 3 weeks ago, it is being offered with a clean Carfax at $24,500, OBRO. |
