| 1989 Porsche 911, 6 Speed Targa,
This is a very special car! Not because it’s relatively rare and not just because it’s the last production year of the truly classic 911’s, but simply because it’s one of the nicest examples of a 23 year old Porsche that we’ve seen in the 11 years we’ve been doing this.
Finished in excellent Guards Red over cashmere leather interior, the car’s excellent overall mechanical and cosmetic condition totally belies it’s almost 92,000 miles and in fact, it runs and looks like a car with less than half its mileage.
The car has had 3 very caring and attentive owners since new, and its current owner has continued to care for it at a very high level since 1999. It is being offered for sale because he, with some true reluctance, wishes to move to a newer Porsche cabriolet which we are currently searching for.
The current owner has been very fastidious in keeping the car original and in top condition. To our best knowledge it has never experienced a winter and has served its 3 owners as a true recreational weekend and summer driver and has never been used at track events.
Recent service has included a re-fresh of the Targa top by Dan Patchel complete with new body gaskets, fresh Z rated tires and new brake pads on all 4 corners.
