1987 Porsche 911, 5 Speed, Sunroof Coupe,
Done in gleaming black with 97,000 miles this coupe is mechanically perfect, albeit a bit cosmetically challenged.
Originally a western US car, it was located by European Locators about 3 years ago for a longtime client in Brookline, MA. whose criteria called for a black G-50 transmission 911 coupe and no front or rear spoilers
Prior to delivery at 84,000 miles it was treated to 4 new tires, a four wheel alignment, new turbo tie rod ends and corner balancing along with having all its oil leaks corrected.
This included the repair of a broken head stud, cam housing reseal, new oil and fuel lines and sunroof cables. The total expenditure for that work was about $8,000 and the result was a perfect and well running late 80’s 911.
We recently located a low mileage 2002 BMW M Coupe for the same client and he has asked me to take the 911 on consignment.
The car has been prepared for sale by the installation of new rotors and pads on all 4 corners, a front wheel bearing service, two new window motors and complete service which included flushing the fuel system, clearing the sunroof drains, new plugs and filters and a leak-down test which showed all cylinders at 4-5%.
Cosmetically the car has suffered some minor damage to the front hood and bumper area when it was backed into, has some minor scratches, needs a new headliner and one of the rear seat base cushions is missing.
The pricing reflects those issues and the new owner will benefit from a mechanically perfect car with a completely stock, very strong and dry engine and all that has been invested in its care and maintenance during the last 3 years and 13,000 miles. We’ve driven it a bit and it is a very nice driver with good performance.
It is priced at $23,000, or best reasonable offer and comes with a clean Carfax and all of it’s keys and equipment. |
